AISB Basketball Tournament

The annual AISB Basketball Tournament took place on February 8-9, featuring BIS, Hope Academy, UWIS, SUMMIT and SRIS, competing in four categories: U15 Girls, U15 Boys, U19 Girls, and U19 Boys. Over two days of intense competition, our teams battled for the title, delivering thrilling performances and dramatic comebacks.

There were only 2 teams in the U15 Girls category. In a very close first game, our team lost 11-12. However, they came back stronger, and won the second game 11-10. In the third and deciding game, our team won 13-9, securing first place over Hope Academy. 

The U15 Boys category had 3 participating teams:BIS, Hope Academy and SUMMIT. Our jv boys team lost both group stage games, leaving them to play a semifinal game against Hope Academy. Unfortunately, our team lost the semifinal 13-27, leaving them in third place, while Hope Academy advanced to the finals where they ultimately lost to SUMMIT. The U19 Girls category competed against 3 other teams, finishing second in the group stage due to one loss against SRIS..Winning the semifinal game against UWIS  25-1, they advanced to the championship game, where they secured first place for the third year in a row, with a final score of 22-10..

In the U19 Boys category all 5 schools participated. In the group stage, our varsity boys team lost the first game to Hope Academy, but confidently won the other 3 games, finishing in 2nd place, advancing to the finals. In the championship game the boys faced Hope Academy. They unfortunately lost and ended in second place.

The AISB basketball tournament was a true test of skill, teamwork, and determination. From losses to hard-fought victories, every game was truly exciting.The tournament was a huge success for BIS, having all 4 teams finishing on the podium. Both girl teams secured golds, while the varsity boys got silver, and the jv boys got bronze.
