On February 27th, the Sports Hall of Bishkek International School was filled with excitement as students from grades 0 to 8 showcased their scientific creativity at the annual STEM Fair. This eagerly anticipated event provided a platform for young minds to experiment, innovate, and present their projects before an audience that included high school student judges.

The fair featured a diverse range of experiments, from kindergarteners exploring basic physics with balloon rockets to 8th graders tackling complex topics like renewable energy and artificial intelligence. Each project was carefully evaluated based on originality, scientific method, and presentation skills, with high school students stepping into the role of judges to offer feedback and encouragement.
One of the standout moments of the event was watching younger students enthusiastically explain their experiments to the high schoolers. The interaction between the age groups fostered a sense of mentorship and inspiration, showing that STEM education is not just about learning facts but also about exploration, collaboration, and discovery.

At the end of the fair, each grade level recognized its top three winners, with first, second, and third-place awards celebrating outstanding projects. The winners received certificates and small prizes, but beyond the awards, the biggest takeaway was the experience of learning and sharing knowledge.
Overall, the 2024 STEM Fair was a huge success, igniting curiosity and a love for science among students of all ages. The event demonstrated that innovation begins with a simple question and that every student, regardless of age, has the potential to be a future scientist, engineer, or inventor.
