Six schools faced off at the annual BISA Volleyball tournament in hopes of winning: BIS, Hope, Oxford, Summit, QSI, and UWIS. Intense competition reigned for two days straight, and the games brought on earsplitting cheers from all over the court. Our tireless teams won and lost, but never gave up any hope. This year, the Varsity categories had all six schools in them, JV girls had 5 schools, however, JV boys only had 4 schools participating.

Three of BIS’s teams finished on the podium. The Varsity girls reigned over the opposing teams, beating UWIS in a breathtaking final match and bringing back a trophy and golden medals. U15 boys returned with a silver medal, winning surprisingly by the amount of points they have obtained, and our Varsity boys got a Bronze one. Unfortunately, the Junior Varsity girls lost in a tight match against Hope Academy. HAB won the first set in the semi-finals, yet the U15 girls strived to beat them as they won the second set. However, though it was a close game, 17:15, our girls lost in the third set. The U19 boys lost a heartbreaking game in the semi-final, losing to Silk Road but ultimately redeemed themselves, winning third place. Overall, all of the BIS teams learned many lessons about winning and losing. They will be back better than ever next year!
