From April 17th to 19th, our Taigans played at the annual CAVC Volleyball Tournament, playing against some of the best international school teams from all across Central Asia. We had 4 teams that travelled, U19 boys and girls, U15 boys and girls. It was three days of tough games and nail biting wins.

The U19 boys had a outstanding tournament, winning some tough matches and making it all the way to the finals! In the final game they left everything on the court but it wasn’t enough and they brought home 2nd place which was a huge achievement and a true reflection of all the hard work they’ve been putting in. From this experience they are ready to learn and come back stronger next year.
The U19 girls also had an amazing 3 days of games, winning some nail-biting matches and were able to claim 3rd place. They showed so much heart and teamwork, never backing down even when the games got tough. This experience is giving them the opportunity to improve all the mistakes and make them hungrier for next year.

Our U15 girls also fought very hard, staying strong through every match and finishing in 3rd place! Through the games you could really see all the hard work and efforts they put in, playing their hearts out and leaving everything they had on the court. Next year they are ready to become stronger and better to come back and win the tournament.
As for the U15 boys, even though they finished 7th, they gave everything they had in every single match. They kept fighting and mainly kept learning and gaining experience. Our U15 boys team got huge potential, and this experience only made them learn and made them more determined to come back stronger next year.
CAVC wasn’t just about volleyball, it was about sportsmanship, respect, making new friends and finding new people. Our Taigans respected their opponent on and off the court. This was the biggest lesson this tournament brought to every single one of our players. We are really proud of everyone who played and we are sure that all of the players who stay are determined to improve and become better for the next tournaments. Go Taigans!
